The second edition of You're on Your Own (But I'm Here If You Need Me) was released in May 2009.

The college years represent a new stage of parenting—the transition years between having students living at home full time and the next step of watching them gradually (or sometimes suddenly) move away.

The book, You’re On Your Own (But I’m Here If You Need Me), and this Web site are for parents who want to make the most of the college years, not just for their student, but also for themselves.

We have also included a Web page for college and university staff, with information, resources, and current research on college-parent relations.
