Minnesota Moment: A few years ago online social networking sites such as Facebook were dominated by college students. Now mom and dad have discovered they can use them, too. That was one of the reasons why Marj Savage, Parent Program director at the University of Minnesota, has updated her college-parenting book, You're On Your Own (But I'm Here If You Need Me). Savage says parents are increasingly embracing social networking, which is unsettling for some newly independent students.

Marjorie Savage will be presenting the following programs:

Breck High School, Golden Valley, Minnesota, January 8
St. Paul Academy, St. Paul, Minnesota, January 19
New Trier High School, Northfield, Illinois, March 1
March 13-15, NASPA, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, March 14-16
